25 Fall Favorites At Trader Joe’s
This post details our fall favorites at Trader Joe’s. We’ve included a list of our must haves, creative ways to use these favorites and why our family loves these items!
Trader Joe’s is known for its fabulous fall and holiday items. Every September, they start rolling out everything pumpkin, maple, apple, and spooky! Once they put these items on the shelf, they fly off like hotcakes. I made a trip to our local Trader Joe’s and picked up some of our fall favorites.
Now in full disclosure, we are not huge pumpkin people. We all enjoy pumpkin-flavored items every fall, but sometimes it does get a little overboard for us. With that in mind, let me share 25 of our fall favorites that we actually love and some new things we’re trying this year.
Favorite Fall Baking Mixes & Spreads
Cinnamon Bun Spread
This spread is absolutely magical. Last year I bought 3-4 jars of it, I loved it so much! It tastes like the ooey-gooey inside of a warm cinnamon roll. We love to spread it on toast, bagels, or warm bread. If you are going to just get one thing, this is the item to get!
Maple Butter Spread
This is something that my mom recommended to me. She tried it last year and absolutely raved about it! I’m excited to try this on pretzels and apples. Maybe even on some toast with crumbled bacon! Yum!
Pumpkin Chocolate Chunk Oatmeal Cookie Mix
The cookie mix is a new item for us to try this year. I’m looking forward to making some cookies for school classes, lunches, or even to share with a friend. One container makes about 24 cookies and only requires the cookie mix, 1 egg, 1 stick of butter, and 2T of water. Pretty easy! The mix does contain milk, soy, and wheat if you’re watching food allergies.
Gluten-Free Pumpkin Pancake Mix & Bread Mix
I always grab multiple boxes of these mixes because I love them so much. It’s hard to find really good gluten-free mixes that my whole family enjoys. I love putting chocolate chips in with these mixes to add an extra flair of goodness! We try to make pumpkin bread to share with our neighbors every year. It’s such a fun and easy way to share some love! I’ll also be sure and save a mix for Thanksgiving morning. It’s a nice treat to start the day!
Drinks & Novelty Fall Favorites
Spiced Apple Cider
We tried this cider last year and loved it! It’s a yummy treat for fall afternoons after school or crisp cool evenings on the back porch. We have served it hot or cool over ice. It’s made with real apple juice and a delicious blend of spices like cinnamon, cloves, allspice, orange, and lemon. So good!
Autumnal Harvest Creamy Pasta Sauce
This pasta sauce is a fun spin on a classic ingredient. It’s made with tomatoes, pumpkin, carrots, and butternut squash. It’s like you’re eating a fall garden! I plan to serve this with pasta. It would be really fun to serve over some pumpkin-shaped pasta or pumpkin ravioli! You could easily add this to a pizza, throw it in some lasagna, or even use it as a dipping sauce for breadsticks.
Apple Cider Fruit Spread
A new item for us this year! This looks like it would be good inside of a warm croissant or maybe even served with some toast. I’m also thinking about adding it to pork chops or baked chicken for a savory fall flair!
The Saturn “Donut” Peaches
These are just a fun item to grab when they have them in stock! After all, who doesn’t love a “donut” fruit? We all think they taste more like an apple than a peach and they have a crunchier texture.
Pumpkin Spice Rooibos Tea
This tea caught my eye on the shelf. It comes in a beautiful tin that would be perfect for gifting! It boasts flavors of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves in pyramid-shaped sachets. I’m always looking for yummy fall drinks and I can’t wait to try this one.
Fall Favorite Breakfast Foods
Apple Cider Donuts
These donuts are a fun fall tradition for us! They are old-fashioned cake donuts with apple cider flavoring and classic cinnamon sugar topping on them. Best served with coffee on the porch!
Gluten-Free Pumpkin Bagels & Cream Cheese
These pumpkin bagels are another gluten-free favorite. Trader Joe’s is always my favorite place to find affordable and yummy gluten-free treats. It’s an added bonus when they include gluten-free items in their holiday lineup! The bagels are absolutely delicious and I’m excited to try the cream cheese this year.
The Pumpkin Cereal Bars
I honestly picked these up because the title was funny and I knew my boys would think it was hilarious! We will put these in our snack basket for them to grab in the mornings for breakfast, school snack or a quick afternoon pick me up. I’ve seen a lot of promising reviews about them and we are excited to dig in.
Pumpkin Brioche Twist Bread
This bread looked absolutely gorgeous in the store. I 100% was drawn in by the creative display and the marketing. Even though I won’t be able to try the bread, I’m excited about using this for my family’s breakfast this week. I’m planning to serve this bread toasted with some butter (maybe some maple butter!). I might even make some French Toast this weekend! This bread looks perfect for that.
Pepita Salsa & Fall Chips
These will both be new items for us to try! We love good salsa and chips. I’m thinking I’ll save these for a Saturday afternoon when college football is on and everyone is looking for something to much on. It’ll be a fun way to celebrate the fall!
Autumnal Harvest Soup
This pumpkin and butternut squash soup is just so good! It’s perfect for an easy dinner or lunch. Warm up the soup, add some pre-cooked chicken, serve with toasty bread, and voila! It’s like you’ve been slaving in the kitchen for hours.
Fall Cookies & Snacks
Pumpkin Cookies & Halloween JoJo’s
I caved and bought three kinds of cookies from the Fall selection. Halloween JoJo’s are a fun favorite for my boys. It’s the classic JoJo cookie with orange-vanilla bean cream on the inside. If you’ve never tried a JoJo, you owe it to yourself to do it. The real vanilla bean cream on the inside makes these cookies next level. I’m planning to send the Pumpkin Spice shortbread cookies and Maple Cookies to my sons’ classes for treats. I’m sure they will love them!
Pumpkin Spice Granola Bark
This is a new gluten-free item this year and I’m excited to try it. Gluten-free oats, almonds, pumpkin, dark chocolate, and salted pumpkin seeds. This sounds perfect for a quick dessert or snack!
Pumpkin Spiced teeny tiny Pretzels
I’m planning on putting these fun pretzels in lunches and school snacks for my kids. They love yogurt-covered pretzels, so I’m thinking they will love these too!
Other Fun Fall Favorites To Try
I didn’t grab everything on the Fall Display because I knew some things we just wouldn’t eat. However, I did make note of them to share here.
- Vanilla Pumpkin Scented Candle – This candle smelled delicious and was only a few dollars. It would make a super cute gift!
- Pumpkin Overnight Face Mask – This looked like a great spa night item promoting glowy and hydrtated skin.
- Haunted House Cookie Kits – a fun activity to do with your kids!
- Pumpkin Spice Coffee – this is a crowd favorite for sure. We are not big on pumpkin coffee, but my friends tell me this coffee is. a must try!
- Pumpkin Biscotti – Grab this to put in your coffee!
- Spicy Pumpkin Curry Saute Sauce – If you try this, let me know what you think. Curry is an aquired taste and my family hasn’t quite gotten there yet. I’d love to hear reviews from you!
- Pumpkin Butter – again, this looked delicious. But really…how many spreads do we need? Haha! My mom loves this stuff.
